Project Description

We intend to design and implement a game of the vertical scrolling manic shooter genre. These games are shooter games such as Gradius and R-Type? which are characterized by the screen slowly scrolling up vertically and having bullet patterns which must be "navigated" rather than simply dodged. Some examples of popular games in this particular genre are Mushihimesama and Ikaruga. Our game will be set apart in the genre by being networked allowing two or more players to take play together remotely. The game will feature 3D backgrounds with 2D characters and enemies.
